"I have used James in our Ozarks Conference for Sr Adult Ministers as well as with our Sunday School leadership here at Geyer Springs, First Baptist Church.  James always does a great job and teaches in a practical way. He knows what he's talking about. Not only does James minister to older adults, but his ministry at First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas touched all ages.  He is truly a minister. I'm glad he's now more available to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of leaders.  I hope you will take advantage of his leadership and knowledge."

"I am always thrilled to have the opportunity to share about good folks like James Craver. As Minister of Pastoral Care and Senior Adults at First Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas, I have had the opportunity to get to know James, not only as a leader in the area of ministry to senior adults, but also as a friend. Over the years, James has set a sound example in leadership of senior adults. He has a passion, not only to see senior adults continue to grow in their faith through service and fellowship, but also to continue to offer the Good News of Jesus Christ to those who may have never made the decision to become a believer. I have heard James say on many occasions that just because there is gray on the head, it does not mean there is God in the heart.

Over the past several years, I have also had the privilege of hearing James give a number of presentations on a variety of topics concerning senior adults at different conferences across the state of Texas. He has spoken at my request for Senior Adult Sunday School Leadership Training here at First Baptist, Amarillo, and most recently, he graciously participated in the West Texas Second Half Celebration as a presenter, which was a conference that I assisted in hosting here in Amarillo for the entire Panhandle and West Texas area senior adult and boomer age group. James is a wonderful and talented presenter who can provide practical ideas and instruction in an engaging and entertaining manner. He is able to offer genuine instruction because of many years experience learning what works and what doesn’t with senior adults.

James is most certainly a man with a servant’s heart and his desire to share knowledge while empowering others for kingdom work (and play) among senior adults is contagious. I look forward to seeing how God will use James Craver in the days ahead!"

"James Craver is a fount of wisdom and knowledge in the field of Senior Adult Ministry to which we have turned time and time again. Not only is he a help to the Baptist General Convention of Texas in our work with churches, but he has been a friend and mentor to me personally in my work with churches in the arena of Senior Adult work. I consider him a valuable resource, friend, ally, and depend upon him regularly. His wisdom, caring spirit, experience, and advice are trusted and sought after, not only here in the DFW Metroplex and in Texas, but literally in churches all over the country, and I am privileged to call him my friend."

"James Craver is the Dean of Middle and Older Adult ministry in our State. God has gifted him with a deep awareness of the spiritual, emotional, and relational needs of persons and families in the best half of their lives. His attention to what people actually need results in creative and powerful ministries that witness to God’s presence and grace. James knows how to equip and empower lay leaders to create and sustain ministries that flow out of their call. He has understood the importance of moving beyond the walls of the church into a community ready for a message of God’s love and provision. He willingly mentors new ministers to this work and takes the time to provide written guidelines for ministries that are proven and doable. In the near future, churches will have unparalleled opportunity to reach  vibrant and service-minded middle and older adults as well as the homebound and physically and mentally challenged. James Craver knows how to lead ministries that can effectively reach out to both. We are blessed to have this man of God in our midst, so willing to help guide our intention to reach adults and families with the transforming love of Jesus."

Ministering to boomers is relative new and James is on the ground floor with his valuable insight and experience. he has been important to me both personally and also professionally. He helped me when my own mother was drifting into dementia. Not only did he help me but our entire family as we learned to cope with this horrific disease. Professionally I contacted James for research I was doing when writing the book, "Attract Families to Your Church and Keep Them Coming Back." He is one of the very few people who has useable information regarding the senior and boomer generation. He has the personal research via ministering to this population for years.
